The April 18 of each year designated by the UNESCO and the International Council on Monuments and Sites (INTERNATIONAL COUNCIL OF MONUMENTS AND SITES-ICOMOS) as World Day of Monuments. The commemoration aims to raise public awareness on the important issue of protection of Cultural Heritage. To this end run around the world on the initiative of UNESCO and ICOMOS all forms of events. The aim of these events, not only become known to the general public the importance of the monuments of each country and their problems, but also to promote the cause of protection and integration in contemporary social, cultural and economic life.
