Activities for the protection - preservation of monuments in the Hellenic territory

Since its establishment the Hellenic ICOMOS has been defending incessantly the need for protection of monuments and historical sites which are endangered. In each and different case it intervenes with its recommendations, such as: Mycenae, the Bridge of Plaka, Olympieio(1), Hydra(2), Keramikos(3), Hadrian's Aqueduct(4), the Temple of Agrotera Artemis, Acheloos(5), Kastraki of Piraeus(6), Ano Polis(7) (the old town) of Thessalonica, Amphissa(7), Galaxidi(7), Methone, Stemnitsa, Mountainous Arcadia, Nafpaktos, Makronisos(8), Marathon-Schinias (9), Archeological Site Makrigianni-Surrounding area of Akropolis(10), Lavrio(11).
